  • What is the difference between the Framework Laptop 13 Pro (Intel® Core™ Ultra Series 3) and the Framework Laptop 13 Pro (AMD Ryzen™ AI 300 Series)?
    Both AMD and Intel deliver outstanding performance, and choosing between them ultimately comes down to personal preference and platform needs. Laptops powered by Intel® Core™ Ultra Series 3 and AMD Ryzen™ AI 300 Series share the same premium hardware features, including a 74Wh battery, upgraded speakers, a 2.8K touchscreen display, and a haptic touchpad. Intel® Core™ Ultra Series 3 systems add Dolby Atmos® support (currently on Windows 11) and are compatible with LPCAMM2 LPDDR5X memory and M.2 2280 PCIe® 5.0 SSDs, while AMD Ryzen™ AI 300 Series systems are compatible with DDR5-5600 memory and M.2 2280 PCIe® 4.0 SSDs. All configurations come with an optional 3-year limited extended warranty available.

  • Can I upgrade my CPU later?
    Yes! If you ever need more performance in the future, you can upgrade to a new Mainboard with a new CPU on it. We publish step-by-step guides you can follow to do the upgrade yourself.

  • Which Processor should I choose?
    For everyday multitasking, choose Intel® Core™ Ultra 5 325. It’s a great fit for standard office productivity, handling stacks of browser tabs, video calls, streaming, and day-to-day project management with ease.
    If you need stronger performance for professional workloads, choose Intel® Core™ Ultra 7 358H. In addition to more CPU cores, it offers a significant boost in GPU performance, making a noticeable difference for data-heavy applications, local development environments, multiple Docker containers, and visual or compute-intensive workflows.
    For the most demanding use cases, choose Intel® Core™ Ultra 9 388H. It builds on the Ultra 7 with additional CPU headroom for the heaviest workloads, such as frequent code compilation, full-scale virtualization, and local AI-assisted development, where every bit of extra performance helps.

  • What is Wi-Fi 7?
    Wi-Fi 7 is the latest standard that works across all three frequency bands - 2.4GHz, 5GHz, and 6GHz. It allows for even higher throughput and is less congested than Wi-Fi 6E. You'll need a WiFi 7 compatible wireless network to get maximum performance, but the card is compatible with existing 2.4GHz and 5GHz WiFi 6E and older networks.

  • What kind of speakers does the Framework Laptop 13 Pro have?
    The Framework Laptop 13 Pro features stereo side-firing speakers rated at 2W per channel, designed to deliver clear, balanced audio with plenty of volume for everyday use like music, video playback, and calls.

  • Does the Framework Laptop 13 Pro have a touch display?
    Yes. The Framework Laptop 13 Pro features a 2.8K in-cell touchscreen display with a 13.5″ 3:2 panel at a 2880 × 1920 resolution. It delivers 700nits of typical brightness (600nits minimum), supports a 30–120Hz variable refresh rate, and covers 100% of the sRGB color gamut. The display also includes an ambient contrast ratio surface and per-panel color calibration for consistent, accurate color.

  • Can I purchase in volume for my business?
